Food: Saturday

I’m showing up as I can – some days more than others. I say to God, “This is where I am. This is what I have and don’t have. And this is what I need.” In the Eucharist I say, “Here I am.” And God says, “Yes, here I am for you today.”

You say it all! Thank you for this beautiful Lenten Journey. Being on my own, carefully isolating to serve and be served by my community, and yours, I know we are Blessed.

How timely this week, focussing on food. It is the week we prepared for our monthly distribution of a week of non perishable food, pet kibble and toilet tissue (yes!) from three locations of our rural food bank. Volunteers have stepped forward to allow us to enact proper distancing protocols during the pandemic as well as delivery to those particularly vulnerable…or self-isolating. This morning’s distribution went off without a hitch. God has blessed us with donations of food, funds and extraordinary volunteers that allow us to continue to serve those in need.

Thank you Br. Luke for your word today!
It gives me a sense of wellbeing and belonging, no only to the Father but also to the community of believers.
To be fully present in the Eucharist and able to say to God , “ here I am Father the way I am right now, knowing
He is listening , accepting me totally and loving me , it is so intimate, so transforming, so empowering!

Thanks be to God for his love and provision.

Thank you to all Brothers for their words and great work for the community.
