Food: Video

The Eucharist and the liturgy continue to be an ongoing invitation. Even when I think I’ve got it all figured out, there’s always more. I’ve been receiving communion now for thirteen years, and it’s never the same any day. I never walk away feeling fed in the same way. I always feel fed.

In the Province of Ontario, Canada, all Anglicans today will not attend liturgies, joining the general population in avoiding human contact. – schools, libraries, cultural events all shuttered. It is important to realize how much we generally have – and use time this lent to ponder that.

The Amazing thing about these SSJE devotionals and the Levten series is that I have fed on the daily word received and passed it on via text and social media to literally thousands elsewhere. That is how gracious God has been to me through encountering the living God through SSJE guest house hospitality and devotionals. The Word has fed me through a stormy challenging time of life I have in turn fed others through my list of social media contacts. God is so good. I am so grateful to you all at SSJE!

This series and the SSJE devotionals have fed me with the Word of God. In turn I have passed this spiritual food on to others. Literally thousands of others in the past few years. many thanks

This video resonated deeply as I heard and felt within me – God is enough. His “bread”, as His Grace is always sufficient. He is the Great Shepherd who understands what I truly need and offers me provisions for that which is most important and even the unexpected condiments of gifts and blessings. During these months of world anxiety it should be a time where we run to church to be fed and to hold each other close.. How sad we need to recluse for the sake of our selves, our neighbors and the greater community. How important it becomes to dwell in the Word – the “bread” of life who is with us always. Thank you. .

This message is powerful and comes at a time when we are advised not to receive the Bread of Life in actual community for a brief time at least. This message is a witness of how precious the Gift is and how we must be nourished now with spiritual sustenance with our online community. Thank you SSJE brothers.

This is such an excellent program! Last night we tried it online and did Compline using the readings with Taize Worship. I assume someone already pointed out that the Scripture reading from Luke is actually from Matthew. One of our readers tried to look up Luke 26 and noticed that Luke doesn’t have that many chapters!
