Food: Wednesday

The Eucharist has a way of surprising us. It’s not always this feeling that I’m engorged and full – and so grateful to be full of Jesus. Sometimes the Spirit says, “We are going to feed you today with this lack that you are feeling. This lack that you’re feeling is going to be what feeds you.”

– Br. Sean Glenn, SSJE

Way of Love: Daily Practice

I am reflecting today on this thought from the food video! Thanks for food for thought today! I read the SSJE devotional daily because of the lack that I am feeling. Praise God for the spiritual food these devotionals and Lenten series films provide! Thanks

“This lack you are feeling is what feeds you”. When you said these words, Br. Sean, the world was a different place and the “lack” you spoke of was perhaps a different “lack”. Now more than ever we have the opportunity to “become what we have received”—the actual Body and Blood of Christ—really, now. Yes I will be a part of our church’s phone bank, yes , I will keep current with our Lectio group, yes, I will be what I have received. Thank you.
