Water: Monday

A lot of people try to make God domestic. God becomes the “Hail Mary, full of grace, help me find a parking space” God. But this means missing the absolutely unfathomable power of God, like you can see at Niagara Falls. That’s what water can teach us about God: you can’t bottle God.

Making the sign of the cross will forever have deeper meaning to me thanks to this video. Holy water and the sign of the cross are part of my Catholic heritage. Moving beyond the veil with this tradition is a wonderful way of saying. Holy Water through Jesus Shed blood on Calvary gives believers access to the Father and empowerment in the Holy Spirit.

    So many thanks!

    Adrift.
Adrift on a sea of doubts
Like a sea full of weeds.
    Adrift amongst the waves
    Of my daily challenges.
    Kept afloat by my faith
    In a caring, compassionate God.
